The Mon Valley Community Education Council (MVCEC) is an independent not-for-profit corporation that brings together Mid-Mon Valley community leaders to determine educational priorities and develops partnerships with educational providers to expand education and training opportunities.

Mon Valley Community Education Council has entered a joint agreement with the Mon Valley Career and Technology Center (MVCTC) to provide access to its technical facilities, video conferencing facility and classroom space. MVCEC’s partners, Westmoreland County Community College and Penn State Fayette, have agreed to offer classes at MVCTC beginning September 2007.

MVCEC understands the difficulty of taking college classes while working and has created a series of classes to accommodate you. We offer post-secondary and college credit courses taught by Penn State Fayette and Westmoreland County Community College instructors who use Mon Valley Career and Technology Center’s classrooms and facilities. That means getting the training you want and need without leaving your neck of the woods.
